Chattanooga, Tenn. (February 1, 2011) – Big River Grille & Brewing Works is showcasing the art of both the Executive Chef and Head Brewer with the upcoming Brewer’s Select seasonal promotion. The newest innovations from the restaurant teams, available beginning February 1st, are perfect for sharing and demonstrate the latest made-from-scratch menu items that are perfectly paired with the Brewer’s Select beer. In addition to the exciting new menu items and seasonal beer, a lucky guest will win a trip for two to Denver’s Great American Beer Festival in September 2011.
Big River Grille is featuring a unique beer that their in-house brewer, David Sharpe, has specially brewed for the limited-time-only promotion. Sharpe used his own recipe to create Scottish Ale, a dark amber ale with caramel-like malt sweetness balanced with a subtle hop bitterness that truly highlights his personal brewing abilities.
Executive Chef Bill Heckler was tasked with crafting a menu to be the perfect complement to any beer that Sharpe chose. The final result yielded a menu comprised of small and large appetizer plates ideal for pairing with Big River beer. “A menu of appetizers was the best choice after I reviewed the type of beer being brewed,” said Heckler. “Each item on the Brewer’s Select menu balances well with the beer being featured during this promotion.”
Menu items include:
- Pepperoni Pizza Rolls
- Texas Caviar Dip & Housemade Tortilla Chips
- Fish Taquitos
- Coconut Shrimp
- Brewer’s Select Appetizer Combo (Fish Taquitos, Coconut Shrimp and Texas Caviar)
- Brewer’s Trio (Pepperoni Pizza Rolls, Texas Caviar and Chicken Quesadillas)
- Greek Flatbread
- Rosemary Chicken Flatbread
